We can currently offer the following services:

  • Nylon hair reroots*
  • Saran hair reroots*
  • Polypropylene hair reroots*
  • Eyelash reroots

* full head reroot or highlights, restoration or complete new colour.

You can also choose from different reroot methods, depending on your personal requirements.

Tool and Glue

A very quick method which only takes a few hours per doll. When the reroot is finished, the hair is secured on the inside using special glue. This method is completely safe and secure, once dry the hair can be brushed and styled as normal.

Knot Method

Most people prefer the knot method although it takes much longer. The hair plugs are individually knotted from the inside and no glue is used. Equally safe for washing, brushing and styling.

Prices start from:

Tool and Glue – £30

Knot Method – £40

Eyelashes – free with any reroot!

Please note, the above prices are a guide based on a Fleur / Sindy sized doll requiring 2 packs of reroot hair, please contact us with your requirements for an individual tailored quote. All prices are in GBP.

FAQ’s

  • Can you reroot my Barbie / Sindy / Tammy / Patch / Pippa / Gail / Daisy / any other dolly not listed here?

Yes! Any doll can be rerooted using the above methods, the main difference which will affect cost will be regarding the time and amount of hair needed based on your girls head size and amount of hair plugs! Please contact us to discuss your requirements and to receive your individually tailored quote :D

  • My doll is only missing a few plugs, can you save her?

Yes! We have nearly 200 different colours of hair to choose from so should be able to provide a close, if not exact, match for your dolls original hair.

  • Can you do more than one colour in her hair?

Yes! Anything is possible! Please contact us to discuss your requirements and to receive your individually tailored quote :D

  • Can I see some more examples of Fleur Dolls work?

Of course! Many photos can be seen in the Re-Root Gallery here on the My Little Customs blog, or alternatively, you can view her album of reroots on Flickr.

Evening everyone,

I am thrilled to finally announce that the polypropylene hair is now in stock!

I am stupidly excited to have a BRAND NEW stock line, I am a hair addict :D

I am sure you all have many questions about the polypropylene and I will do my best to answer them.

PP colour range

What is polypropylene?

Polypropylene looks and feels exactly the same as Nylon, if I called it Nylon you wouldn’t know it was anything different! (All apart from 4 colours, I shall get to those in a little while)

I have not yet had a chance to properly “play” with it so am going purely on how it feels straight from the packet, alongside the “official” spiel about the Polypropylene.

The colours are AMAZING, really unusual and unique. They are just as soft and shiny as the Nylon so I promise you will love it!

Can Polypropylene be boil permed?

The “official” answer: 99% sure that yes it can. Toy manufacturers curl it and style it all the time so if they can do it, so can we! Factory styling is always done using heat.

My personal answer:I have not yet tried it as it has literally just arrived with me, I have only got as far as fawning over the colours and photographing it. This weekend I am planning to do a reroot with it at which point I shall try both methods of curling, both air drying and boil perming. I shall report back with photos and results shortly!

Can I reroot using both Nylon and Polypropylene on the same doll? Yes :)

If I reroot the same doll using both Nylon and Polypropylene together, can I boil perm it? Again, 99% yes, both Nylon and Polypropylene should react the same way, however, I have yet to put this to the test!

Can I request a blend of a Nylon colour with a Polypropylene colour? Yes! You can blend the 2 types of hair together, that is not a problem.

OK, what about the 4 colours you mentioned earlier?

This is based on my first impression, this may change once I have had a play with the hair!

The 4 matte colours, Caliente, Daring, Hypnotic and Frivolous feel slightly different to the rest of the Polypropylene range.

They are heavier and have a slight greasy feeling, similar to Saran. However, the fibres are a little drier, perhaps a slightly heavier denier? If you have tried Pinky Pinky or Nitro Lime Saran you will understand what I mean!

These 4 colours are the only ones which I would say are not EXACTLY like the Nylon, although the colours are fab and the quality of the hair is second to none :)

Right well, all this is purely my personal first impression, the quality seems exceptional and I am impressed with the Polypropylene :D

Expect further updates soon and I hope you are all as excited as I am about having the Polypropylene as a new addition to the My Little Customs line!

Oh noes! As you may have noticed, today our server has decided to fail ~ great.

This means the site is down, plus I have the added delight of email failure too. Fingers crossed this will be resolved shortly!

technical difficulties

Hi everyone!

Well I am back, brown and drowning in over 800 emails!

Please bear with me whilst I wade through them :D

Proper update coming later today as I have lots of NEWS!

Robin x

Hiya everyone,

You may have already heard but there has been some disruption recently at My Little Customs HQ!

I currently work from home where, for the last 3 weeks, we have been having our downstairs kitchen gutted. This has led to the usual joy of having the builders in, not to mention the electricians! Over the last couple of weeks we have periodically had to have the electricity cut off whilst they work, more often than not, the electric has been turned off without warning.

This has meant that not only is my poor computer struggling to cope but to a backlog of emails. All orders have been going out as usual, last week there was a days delay in the dispatch but everything from that end is now running smoothly. Unfortunately however, emails have suffered!

I will be doing my utmost to reply to all emails today, if you are still awaiting a reply, please bear with me!

The electricians have now finished the work so there should be no more electricity problems :D

That being said, all this chaos has prompted a search for new premises for My Little Customs - thats right! - we will be expanding and moving on up in the world with swanky new office space!  I will update you all on any new developments as and when they happen!!

I have also had a tremendous treat this morning, I apologise for the incredibly short notice but my husband has been an absolute sweetheart and has told us that we are going on a surprise holiday next week!! My daughter and I had no idea that this was happening and we are very excited! It will be our first proper family holiday and my daughters first ever time on an aeroplane!

Therefore, from this coming Saturday, 23rd of May, we will be away for a week. My husband has arranged everything and kept the secret well, even down to arranging my good friend Becci to house sit.

She will be also looking after My Little Customs for me whilst I am away, please bear in mind that she has absolutely no knowledge of anything dolly or pony as she is not a collector!! LOL  If she can answer your questions she will to the best of her ability, however, I have said to her that if she would prefer to wait for me to return then that is fine.

Please look after her in my absence and forgive any delays that may occur!

Right! I am now off to package up all orders and pop via the chemists for some sun cream before going to the Post Office!!

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Forgot to mention this in my last post as I was rather over excited by my nylon arriving! LOL

Yesterday I was tinkering and have made a second attempt at natural iris chips for Blythe – please excuse the photos as it was rather dark in my office when I took them yesterday evening!

I am still not 100% happy with them but am loosely toying with putting them up for sale if there is enough demand – they were made using PF100 Clear Chips ^_^

clicking on the images will take you through to my Flickr page for a larger view

They look much better when in the Blythe sockets!

This photo is from my first attempt, last May!! (gosh time flies!)

Which type do you prefer? I think I prefer my most recent ones but I just don’t know!

Everyone has been very patiently awaiting the shipment of Nylon stock and I am pleased to say that the first half of the shipment has ARRIVED!

HUZZAH!!!

Please bear with me whilst I update the stock levels on the Nylon Hair Page – in the meantime, if there is a colour you are after and perhaps it either has no “add to cart” button or the stock level is not sufficient for your order, please drop me a line, either via email, (robin@mylittlecustoms.com) phone (+44 1271 828160 ) or the LiveHelp button and I shall endeavour to help – it may be that I have not yet updated that particular colour :D

Thank you!! (yay!)

Hi everyone,

Last week was completely crazy but I am now back in the land of the living and sorting through everything I missed last week – please bear with me whilst I catch up!

:D

Robin x

Hi everybody,

I apologise for the incredibly short notice but next week there could be some disruption at My Little Customs HQ.

We will be having a full stock take and an audit which means I will be hordendously busy next week!

I am unsure as to how long this will take so am putting up a notice to say that orders will not be shipped until Monday April 13th. During this time, I will be in and out of the office so emails will be monitored but it is unlikely I will get chance to reply – I will do my very best to get orders out but please be aware of the possible delay.

Again, I apologise for the short notice, this has only been sprung on me today.
