PayPal would love you to have an account,¬† therefore, they do not make it immediately obvious that you can use them for single payments without the need for signing up – this is why the “continue” link is small and the “log in” area is huge!! Hi Everyone,

I have been absolutely¬†amazed, thrilled and staggered by how busy I have been since Christmas – as you can see, I haven’t had chance to even update my blog in nearly 2 months!

The flip side of this is that I am little overwhelmed at the moment, struggling with my workload, finding the motivation to push forward and starting to feel more than just a little burnt out. My family life / work life balance is waaaaaaaay off at the moment and that also need redressing!

Last night (as some of you may have seen via Twitter!) my husband decided that I need a little break to get refreshed and to be able to give My Little Customs the focus it needs on my return.

We have booked an adorable little lodge in Cornwall for a mini getaway, therefore, no orders will be sent next week. I am really looking foward to having a break from the internet and being able to spend some quality time with my daughter and husband.

I realise this is short notice but, as next week is the last week of my daughters school holidays,  it is now or never! I hope you all understand.

I will add in some extra time for you to get any last minute orders in by extending my usual shipping times up to and including this Saturday.

The My Little Customs dates for your diary are as follows:

7th, 8th & 9th April orders processed and shipped as normal

Saturday 10th April – orders recieved before 11am GMT time will be processed and shipped

Monday 12th April – Friday 16th April – NO ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED

Monday 19th April all outstanding orders will be processed and shipped as normal

Once I am back, I am expecting new shipments of both the Nylon and Saran so I should be fully stocked, refreshed and ready to rock and roll!

Thank you for your understanding and I apologise for the short notice

Robin xoxo

Hiya everyone,

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year ūüėÄ

2010 is heralding some big changes for My Little Customs, starting off with new simplified shipping costs.

Postage was previously weight based which meant you never quite knew what the shipping costs would be until you reached the final stage of the checkout, often leading to confusion and complications! Hence new flat rate costs.

The new shipping charges will commence 13/01/10 – until then, FIRST CLASS WORLDWIDE SHIPPING IS FREE!

From January 13th 20120, the new shipping tarriff will be as follows:

FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING* when you spend £25 or more

*Free shipping is standard First Class Airmail (no tracking)

Under £25 the following flat rates apply:

Royal Mail First Class : £1.15

Royal Mail Special Delivery: £5.50

Interlink Express Courier (UK Mainland Only): £9.50

Royal Mail First Class Airmail (no tracking): £1.75

Royal Mail Airsure (Signed For & Tracked): £6.50

USA / Rest of the World

Royal Mail First Class Airmail (no tracking): £2.25

Royal Mail Airsure (Signed For & Tracked): £8.50

HOWEVER – to break you all in gently, for the next week, First Class (or First Class Airmail) shipping is FREE!

NEW shipping charges will commence 13/01/10

Just in time for Christmas! Hooray!

Today there is a Twitter only special offer, my first ever Рa whopping 20% off! (OK so by blogging about it, strictly it is not a Twitter only offer) but next time, there will be no fore warning blog posts! LOL

Head on over and take a peek!

Who knows what offers may crop up? The only way to find out is to follow me ūüėČ

As you are no doubt all aware, the Royal Mail strikes are going ahead, starting from today. The strikes are scheduled for today and tomorrow, however, the CWU has confirmed that further strike action will take place if no agreement has been reached.

With this in mind, please note the current changes which have been implemented with regards to My Little Customs delivery. When shopping at you will have the following options:

For orders under £25.

The postage options at checkout now comprise of:

Royal Mail First Class and Interlink Express Courier.

Royal Mail First Class will NOT be shipped until at least next week, please note this is subject to change and is dependant on the impact the current strikes have on backlogs and deliveries. I shall continue to update anyone who chooses the Royal Mail options via email with regards to postal dates.

I HIGHLY advise you use our new courier service which will be provided by Interlink Express. A set charge of £4.50 will applied at checkout. This is cheaper than Royal Mail Special Delivery and will be guaranteed Next Day Delivery before 3pm Monday РFriday.

Interlink Express is fully trackable and requires a signature upon delivery. You may leave a note for the courier driver such as “please leave with neighbour” or “please leave in a safe place” however; ¬†this cannot be guaranteed and will be down to the delivery driver’s discretion.

By choosing Interlink Express, you are guaranteed to avoid all Royal Mail disruptions as they are an indepedent company, in no way linked to Royal Mail.

The added bonus is that Interlink Express is CHEAPER than Royal Mail Special Delivery ūüėÄ

All orders placed before 4pm, Monday to Friday, will be sent same day. Any orders placed after this time will be sent the following working day.

For international orders, although minimal disruption will be caused, there may be a small delay and AirSure (signed for) is recommended.

For orders over £25

Orders with a value over £25 will be sent via Interlink Express at no extra charge. Should you wish to have your order sent via Royal Mail, please contact me.

Thank you for your patience during this disruptive period, I am working hard to ensure you will get your orders, Royal Mail strikes or no Royal Mail strikes!

Hi Everyone,

As you are all aware, a Royal Mail Strike is looming here in the UK. It is currently scheduled for this coming Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately it is highly likely these two dates will not be the only strikes taken, not to mention the backlogs, some of which have already been caused due to all the localised wild cat strikes which have been ongoing across the country over the last couple of months ūüė¶

The backlog of post that the October 2007 strikes and the ensuing disruption that was caused is still very fresh in my mind.

I have been looking into all possible options and am in a bit of a quandary. I was rather hoping you would be able to give me a little feedback on this.

Would you be prepared to have a flat rate delivery charge of £4.50 if it meant your order would be guaranteed to avoid Royal Mail (and therefore any delays due to present and future strike action) and would be guaranteed to arrive Next Day before 3pm?

Currently orders over £25 automatically get free delivery so this would be unaffected and this offer would remain in place. . Until there is a set process in place with either Royal Mail or a private courier company, I will be sending all orders with a value over £25 via Courier from today at no extra charge.

As I am sure you are all aware, couriers are expensive, however, the level of service would be much improved and would be guaranteed to be delivered next day by 3pm. I am looking at a flat delivery charge of £4.50 for orders with a value up to £25 (which is cheaper than Royal Mail Special Delivery) but my main worry is would this put you off ordering?

Please help me!

If you prefer to contact me privately then please do reply to this email, or alternatively, you can comment below.

Thank you!
