Just a really quick update for you all x

First off, I am SO PLEASED to announce that Royal Mail are back to normal and my headache has been cured! LOL I managed to survive the strikes more or less unscathed, only one package is still awol so nowhere near as bad as expected!

There will be a mini celebration announced shortly so keep your eyes peeled!

On to the subject of My Little Pony – over the weekend I was helping a good friend of mine to identify some My Little Ponies when the topic turned to how to clean them up ready for sale. I immediately went to refer her to Moonfire’s G3MLP site for the amazing “Pony Salon” tutorials on how to wash and style MLP hair when to my horror, I discovered it gone! :(

After a quick Google search, I found no other site with a similar picture tutorial so was wondering if it was worth me doing one for you?

It is such a shame to see Moonfire’s site is down, it was an incredibly helpful site which I often referred people to – I do hope Moonfire is ok, where ever she may be :D

Just a quick note to let you know that all orders will be sent today – hopefully in a bid to sneak in before the next round of strikes scheduled for 121,000 postal workers UK-wide for 24 hours from 3am on Friday 6th November and for 24 hours from 3am Monday 9th November.

The good news is that the majority of mail has still been getting through; however, my concern now is focused on backlogs rather than deliveries. Should you be worried about your items, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Don’t forget, we are offering an 24 hour Courier Service with Interlink Express during this time should you require your items quickly. Please note, the courier requires signature upon delivery so please ensure someone will be at the designated delivery address.

If no-one will be available to sign for your order or you would prefer it to be sent via Royal Mail instead, don’t worry, just drop a note with your order to let me know you would prefer Royal Mail.

I am doing everything in my power to keep you all updated and to maintain the same high standard of customer service and delivery that you have come to expect from My Little Customs :D

If there is anything you need, just shout! You can email me robin@mylittlecustoms.com , call me 01271 828160 or grab me on the Live Help chat function which is implemented throughout the site. (Don’t worry, the Live Help Messenger is not an automated robot – it’s me! LOL  ;) )

Head on over and take a peek! http://twitter.com/RobinMLC

Who knows what offers may crop up? The only way to find out is to follow me ;)

As you are no doubt all aware, the Royal Mail strikes are going ahead, starting from today. The strikes are scheduled for today and tomorrow, however, the CWU has confirmed that further strike action will take place if no agreement has been reached.

With this in mind, please note the current changes which have been implemented with regards to My Little Customs delivery. When shopping at www.mylittlecustoms.com you will have the following options:

For orders under £25.

The postage options at checkout now comprise of:

Royal Mail First Class and Interlink Express Courier.

Royal Mail First Class will NOT be shipped until at least next week, please note this is subject to change and is dependant on the impact the current strikes have on backlogs and deliveries. I shall continue to update anyone who chooses the Royal Mail options via email with regards to postal dates.

I HIGHLY advise you use our new courier service which will be provided by Interlink Express. A set charge of £4.50 will applied at checkout. This is cheaper than Royal Mail Special Delivery and will be guaranteed Next Day Delivery before 3pm Monday – Friday.

Interlink Express is fully trackable and requires a signature upon delivery. You may leave a note for the courier driver such as “please leave with neighbour” or “please leave in a safe place” however;  this cannot be guaranteed and will be down to the delivery driver’s discretion.

By choosing Interlink Express, you are guaranteed to avoid all Royal Mail disruptions as they are an indepedent company, in no way linked to Royal Mail.

The added bonus is that Interlink Express is CHEAPER than Royal Mail Special Delivery :D

All orders placed before 4pm, Monday to Friday, will be sent same day. Any orders placed after this time will be sent the following working day.

For international orders, although minimal disruption will be caused, there may be a small delay and AirSure (signed for) is recommended.

For orders over £25

Orders with a value over £25 will be sent via Interlink Express at no extra charge. Should you wish to have your order sent via Royal Mail, please contact me.

Thank you for your patience during this disruptive period, I am working hard to ensure you will get your orders, Royal Mail strikes or no Royal Mail strikes!

Hi Everyone,

As you are all aware, a Royal Mail Strike is looming here in the UK. It is currently scheduled for this coming Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately it is highly likely these two dates will not be the only strikes taken, not to mention the backlogs, some of which have already been caused due to all the localised wild cat strikes which have been ongoing across the country over the last couple of months :(

The backlog of post that the October 2007 strikes and the ensuing disruption that was caused is still very fresh in my mind.

I have been looking into all possible options and am in a bit of a quandary. I was rather hoping you would be able to give me a little feedback on this.

Would you be prepared to have a flat rate delivery charge of £4.50 if it meant your order would be guaranteed to avoid Royal Mail (and therefore any delays due to present and future strike action) and would be guaranteed to arrive Next Day before 3pm?

Currently orders over £25 automatically get free delivery so this would be unaffected and this offer would remain in place. . Until there is a set process in place with either Royal Mail or a private courier company, I will be sending all orders with a value over £25 via Courier from today at no extra charge.

As I am sure you are all aware, couriers are expensive, however, the level of service would be much improved and would be guaranteed to be delivered next day by 3pm. I am looking at a flat delivery charge of £4.50 for orders with a value up to £25 (which is cheaper than Royal Mail Special Delivery) but my main worry is would this put you off ordering?

Please help me!

If you prefer to contact me privately then please do reply to this email, or alternatively, you can comment below.

Thank you!

This year the UK PonyCon – The International My Little Pony Convention will be held in Sheffield – it is only 8 days away!

UK PonyCon

For the first time in 4 years, I am unable to attend and My Little Customs will not be having a stall - I shall certainly miss chatting with old friends and meeting new faces!  :(

Hopefully next year My Little Customs will be back :D

The UK PonyCon is always such a fun event and comes 100% recommended by me! A great day out for adults, kids and collectors alike so if you are up for a day out, why not go along?

The UK PonyCon main day will be held on October 24th at the Mega Centre in Sheffield – for more information, please visit their website http://www.ukponycon.co.uk/

All profits are donated to charity, this year the UK PonyCon is supporting the RDA Riding for the Disabled, a very worthwhile cause indeed!

I hope all PonyCon goers have a great time and make sure you take lots of photos for me!
